So what is Mousavi saying that Lopez-Obrador didn't say? As far as I can see, it's essentially the same struggle.

But one received considerably more international sympathy, the other condemned as "sore-loserdom". Why was this uprising against a dictatorial regime so different, in the eyes of so many, from the election of Felipe Calderon?

I support the efforts of the Iranian people to rise up against an unjust and insane theocracy. I guess, at the end of the day, I only wish the international community had shown as much support for Lopez-Obrador as is shown Mousavi, who's ideology, let's face it, is severely wanting from a leftist perspective.

Indeed, I think the current people raising the flag of resistance will be sorely disappointed if Mousavi takes the helm. I can only help that the leadership of the current demonstration realizes that the current struggle is bigger than themselves. IMHO this was the mistake Obrador made, and it will be tragic if the mistake is repeated.
