Who of the bourgeois politicians should have won is completely beside the point. The point is that the election sparked a mass revolt of working class people against the totalitarian regime. This is why we should should support the uprising. I personally couldn't care less for Mousavi and think he's a reactionary aswell.

The point is that the election sparked a mass revolt of working class people against the totalitarian regime.

But it didn't. The protests have consisted of TWO sets of anti-regime protesters, on one side are the reformist-faction (mainly, but not exclusively supporters of Mousavi - numbers so small they have to photoshop images) the other side isn't sparked off by the election at all, but has been there, growing in strength, size and vigour every day - that is the real working class protests; the students in the universities, the sugar cane workers, the bus syndicate workers who have been out on the streets waging war with the regime for years!

it's a pity that only now has the British media the incentive to publicise the heroism of the Iranian workers against the Islamic Republic (whatever faction of the theorcracy controls it)

So don't beliebe the BBC when they say these are anti-election results protest, because these protests are not new, they have only grown. And they are not for fair elections within the framework of a brutal Islamic Republic, they are (in the main) for workers control and against the barbarous theorcratic regime.

Whoever got the most votes I guess:confused:

But if mousavi had won, in the long run the change would be less imho.

The people are awaking, and the result has caused it.

Pain will follow but also a chance.
Time will tell.

Hard one to decide I think. Whilst I accept the foul play at hand. I dont accept that Ahmadinejad could have been ruled out as favourite from the beginning. Though Mousavi still had a good chance. In other words im not sure.

Sorry, just noticed I did nothing but repeat your points just now

The worker leader Mansour Osanloo, who couldn't participate in the election because he's currently in jail and is not a reactionary mullah.

Based on polling before the election, Ahmadinejad had the clear advantage and probably did indeed win. But neither of them should be in power or should be supported. Mousavi and Ahamdinejad are both from the same reactionary elements.

Khamenei selects who can run anyway so the whole system is a piece of shit that needs to be smashed.

The working class should have won.

I didn't vote. Both are bourgeois politicians responsible for numerous crimes against the Iranian people. Neither should have won.

But it didn't.

Hush! Don't question the sanctity of elections and their omnipotent ability to, at any place and time, suddenly and spontaneously spark enormous popular revolts!

i notice there are still people on here that voted even though they are both extremeist capitalists.

Hopefully it was mostly people who voted just to see if anyone else did, since you can not view the vote tally unless you vote yourself.

Anyone?

What do you mean? Is your question who we would have voted for or who, in our opinion, *really* got the most votes. (If there was election fraud)

It's completely irrelevant which reactionary would be given the mantle of Iran's puppet president.
