Rage was my favorite band and they still are but since Zach left and all of the rest of the band members are now in Audioslave, i think that they should be heard and even though they are a completely different type of band they are a good band and they have made me start listing to a new kind of music. I still like rage better but audioslave shouldn't be compared to rage because they are two completely different types of bands.

Audioslave have so much to live up to with Rage. I really like their record, but as you said, it´s totally different, it doesn´t have the politcal force of Rage. As long as Tom Morello is still bringing his not inconsequental talents to the group however, they will always have quality songs. My favourites are What You Are, and The Last Remaining, even though that last one is completely different to Rage I think. Anyway, what the hell is Zack up to, when is he bringing out some new material?

Audioslave is a good band, and shouldnt be compared to rage. There will never be another RATM. the emotion and poilitical force brought into the music is irreplicable.

I agree my friends Audioslave is a good band, and I think they have alot too offer. RATM however is in my opinion the best political band ever. Zach De La Rocha will be missed, Rage Against The Machine was and still is my favorite band.

Chris Cornell has some big shoes to fill, but like u guys said they are a completely diffrent band than rage. I can't wait too here Tom Morello's knew rifts, so far I like what I hear. Like you Zapattack I also would like to hear from Zach soon, I wonder what he is up too now. Does any one know?

Zach will have a song on the Matirx Reloaded soundtrack, and there are rumours he is working with Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor.

As for my opinions on Audioslave, I think they suck. ;) To my ears it is just boring, awful music.

I just downloaded this; and it blew me away; seriously.
I think I'm going to enjoy Audioslave's celestial undertones; I predict it will be a fantastic journey with plenty of dancing ladies and hashish.

I think Audioslave is pathetic compared to RATM. I also find the idea of Zach doing hip-hop is countering any political views he may have; its sickening. RATM was good, but not the best political band of all time. Punk and reggae make for a better political canvas, seen.

Yeah I have yet to hear any political words in Audioslave songs, which is why I liked RATM.
