View Full Version : I have a confession to make - I like Good Charlotte

Does anyone else agree with me, The Young and the Hopeless is not as shit as you might expect!
My friend loves them so she got the album for her birthday and since then we've all become addicts! So "Lifestyles of the rich and famous" is pretty puerile, but the lyrics are actually quite good. I have no complaints with them, I like what they do, but I'm not about to buy the album myself, they don't need my money!
I'm sorry if people disagree with me but I suggest they listen to the entire album at least three times, it really grows on you and I'm not bored yet! Maybe they'll be shit when they get rich but right now they're pretty cool.

a blank C.D costs about 2p and to tape on it about £1 then its sold to the shops for like £7-9 then sold to us for like £13+ which is like a 1000% profit so i havnt actualy "bought" any C.D's because if your in a band you do it because you like makin music not for the money

Good Charlotte are fuckin terrible. Really, it's awful. Harriet I seriously recommend you quit dilly dallying and start listening to hardcore before you get sucked into the abyss...

I liked a song of theirs they played on the radio awhile back. (Not that Little Things song, that was fuckin' annoying.)

Good Charlotte *runs and hides* No...there is something a bit to commercial about them for my likings.

I don't think they're that bad. Good Charlotte are hardly my favourite band, and I have no intention of buying their album, but I don't mind listening to some of their songs (a friend of mine is really into them).

Hey man, if you like GC, power to ya! I personally don't like them but I'm not gonna go around making fun of those that do. As long as everyone is themselves and are not afraid to show it. then much respect to them. But if your one of those that make fun and fun durring the day and listening to them at night, then much pity to them. keep on doing your own thing!

Thanks so much for the support! It's not like i'm going to join the fanclub or anything! but they are kinda cool and I quite like the lyrics to some of the songs, especially bloody valentine and one or two others.

Are they really smoking frog? I've never heard them but I've heard about them, and some tell me that they DO sound like GC, and some say that they don't.......

I've never taken the time to get into MXPX, thing with me is if given long enough I'll get into almost anything as long as it's not too commercial, recently I've been getting into The Used, I'm thinking of buying the album, and also thinking about buying AFI's album when it comes out, GC remind me of AFI, not sure why though, definiely not the sound.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I have to admit that when I'm in the shower and I'm listening to my cool froggy shower radio, and somehow Good Charlotte comes on, I sing along or something, but that's 'cause my hands are soapy and so are my feet, so if I try to change the station, I will probably end up falling and getting a concussion, which doesn't seem as bad compared to singing along to GC...but god damn...actually buying their CD is just ourtrageously sad...I understand it was present though, so that's cool. I can't remember what shit CDs I've bought for friends in the past...so I'm about as guilty....and just to help you not make you feel so bad....I listen to Blink 187 from time to time...like when I'm working out...that's pretty sad, I tell ya:)

I like the LYRICS for "Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous" but it ends there. The music and all other lyrics absolutely disgust me.

Hmm, well it certainly wasn't my idea for her to get good charlotte and cos she likes them, I may as well get used to it.

I play my life story in my own special way. Take out that shitty into and verses, and put in more distortion, more bass, and use a multi fx pedal!
alos, 6 year olds aren't into music. Oh and Cuba Victoria, Frogs rock, especially radio ones, such as myself.

I like that one song from Audioslave, "Like A Stone" but I think that band sucks. Rage Against the Machine was way better........I mean WAY

Well, I like some audioslave songs, they just gotta work it up a bit. Theyre coming to my country for a concert soon, im going. I do wish they were more political and lyrics saturated with leftist ideas, but hey is cris cornell a lefty? Sound garden whats their history?
Oh and good charlotte,..........i had to buy a new radio, it came on my alarm one moring and i smashed my radio to peices, I HATE THEM! leftists? nope, angrey faggs who cant find something else to hate, now they can hete emsleves.
