hello,

I am PoliticalJoe. I reside in the Inland Empire area of California. The Political scene here is somewhat dormant. Nothing but animal rights, and vegan activism dominate this area, not that I am against them though. I feel like there is more to be brought up in the political arena that my city is not acting up to. I am not quite clear on what I may be in terms of party affiliation, maybe a social democrat. I am somewhat hesitant to state whether I am a marxist, socialist, or anarchist since all of these theories have not been properly updated to the new obstacles of our present society. I believe that society is not in the direction that benefits the common man. I was involved in M.e.ch.a. and P.S.C., I feel that every culture is necessary to our world and that we all should share a common place. I look forward to meeting new people and thinkers of the entire political spectrum. I once heard that its our duty as humans to learn all about politics, since we can't afford to live in a bubble all our lives.

Welcome to revleft.

Please tone down a bit on the fontsize, it's rather ridiculously big.

Also, there are many Marxist organisations today and they're hardly stuck in the 19th century, so I don't get the "not updated" remark. One such organisation is the Committee for a Workers' International (http://socialistworld.net), an international marxist organisation, active in around 40 countries worldwide.

Ello, mate. Welcome to Revleft! And like Q, I assure you Marxism is by no means stuck in the 19th century! Cheers Comrade!

No I don't. However, I do try to be as productive about it as possible and the CWI is a fine example of how Marxism is still "up to date" to the current problems in the world :)
