We are communists (most of us), struggling for the abolishment of capitalism.
Capitalism is the main enemy here, and it can present itself in various disguises, from fascism to bourgeoisie democracy.
Whichever the disguise, we have to be careful not to be fooled, and consider a disguise as a separate system and the bearer of all evils.
However some systems have an impact in the ideology of the proletariat and the petit bourgeoisie (which are the classes we are interested in).

Fascism, nationalism and the like divide the working class, corrupt its international characteristics.

In the end, according to marx, history does not pave forward in circles, nor in a straight line.It sometimes goes backwrads, sometimes forward.
The advancement to a communist society requires many leaps forward, and while helping the working class make those steps ahead, we also have to combat ideologies that rip it from its potential, and makes it cower and fall back.
