View Full Version : eRepublik - a political and economical duplicate of "real-life".

Good day, comrades.

I'm unsure if there has already been made an eRepublik thread on this forum, but I haven't so far seen one, so here you have it.

eRepublik is a browser-game which focuses on the representive democracy, free-market, foreign and domestic politics aswell as warfare. This is a peaceful game, so to say, meaning you can't kill, jail or deport anyone at any given time.

I'm personally a member of the CPSU, which has a long history in eRepublik. We're trying to achieve a political majority, to put our planned economy into service.

You should be aware that this game is designed for a free-market economical orientation only, but it does support the creation of massive state-owned companies which can be used to eventually kill the free market.

If you want to join a ecountry with a strong radical-leftist party, I'd recommend one of the following:

eUnited Kingdom, the Peoples Communist party won the previous presidential election. They have one of the largest CPs in eEurope.
eSpain, the Bloque Obrero is one of the largest radical-leftist parties in eSpain.
eRussia, the Communist Party of Soviet Union, owns the largest people's owned commune in the eworld. We're currently in the middle of inner-party elections for various party positions.

Here is a link to the actual site: http://www.erepublik.com/en

Yours,
- Fiskpure

I tried eR a while ago. It was just another mediocre webgame back then.

After you play Cybernations for two years, you will be so sick of nation simulation drama that it will literally make you ill to consider starting again.

I played it for a while, but I found going on each day only to buy food, train, sometimes fight, and rarely vote or whatnot rather boring.

I think it has potential, if they choose to do more with it.

I've tried it before but it's not much at the moment.

Fiskpure

The game is slow-paced, yeah. But most of the playing is done through writing various articles, debating the bourgeoise cabinet from taking pocket from the treasury for private use, dominating the market through planned economies, etc. It's a lot of fun, once you get into it.

I'm doing it now, this group I'm with in another game recruited me to play. I'm in Peru.

I found it boring, did it for about 2 weeks like 9 months ago. Pretty much you do the same 3 things every day and can't do anything interesting for like a month.

Even though I have been playing the game for more than 2 months, I found that very true. Though, after real life issues, it is a fun game to play I believe.

The game itself only has work, train, and fight. Also you may own a company and have a newspaper, be a congress member, president, party president etc. But the social and political parts of the game is the satisfactory ones. The game itself does not mean much to me.

We are in Slovakia right now and developing to country with our communist ideals. Everyone can join us @ Slovakia, in any region, we need help.

Websites where you can get a grasp of the game:
theinternationale .proboards. com
soviet-union .proboards. com
www .erepublik. com/en/tutorials

And the website:
www .erepublik .com

If you like games, I promise you will not be bored in this game with communist achievements we've been doing. It is a fun game with social interactions, and we need more international socialists in this game.

SO JOIN!

You can also join the CPSU if you're interested in making a difference in a big ecountry. We're basiclly the "central hub" of Eastern Europe and Asia. The CPSU operates a planned economy on 15 companies. Our Foreign Affairs program is responsible for funding and aiding communes that need financial support. The eNorth Korean, eLatvian and eSlovakian parties are all funded or partially funded by the CPSU.

1. CPSU is not the central hub, we are an international movement and having a central hub would be a betrayal of communism.

2. Your statment about the eSlovakian communist party being funded or partially funded by the CPSU is an utter lie. You DO NOT fund us, apart from a small one time loan of 20 gold, which we will be paying back soon if we have not paid back already.

3. I think this is an attempt to make the CPSU look more deserving of comrades then the other parties.

Cocodim, we've established communes which supply our members with food and gifts in return for working at minimum wage(and donating the minimum they earn back to us). Surplus is sold on the market at prices ridiculously cheap so that capitalist businesses go bankrupt. We've already monoplied Q1 food in Slovakia, and we're making progress on Q2 food and Q2 gifts.

Well as the actual leader of the Communist Party is sooo passive, when i will win the elections in 13 days i will be glad to join the Comintern.

Also, to implement socialism in eRomania, i will need help from you guys, Give me gold and money so that i can buy some companies and do the same as you've done in Slovakia - I only need some money. With this funding, i will surely manage to create and sell low priced Q1 food and then bankrupt most companies and i will become a member of the Comintern aswell and will help future socialist parties to establish themselves in eCountries.

I think it's a great plan by that we could establish our movement and further create alliances between the socialist countries in one big Comintern (once we get in the lead).

I would also like to ask you to add me to your msn [email protected] com maybe we could talk more effectively about the plan.:)

They're discussing the game and the website, which is consistent with my forum, the Websites forum. Try to keep up.

As for everyone else, there's a couple examples of one line posts that are kind of irrelevant, so stay on topic with the discussion and make sure your post is contributing something to the discussion.

Hello there
I'm new here and I want to present you with an idea... :)
erepublik.com/en/referrer/Mr_Cro
eRepublik is the first massive online social strategy game - I know you will now consider this as a joke, but just look at some of these links:
erepublik.com/en/party/the-people-s-communist-party-113/1
erepublik.com/en/party/america-s-advancement-party-1501/1
eRepublik is a game based 90% on politics and it isn't so much popular...
I am from Croatia and I'm playing for almost a year now. This is my account:
erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/1607332
Main themes in the game are: politics, economy and military
It's really a fun game where exp doesn't mean much (you can become a country president with level 17 and beat someone with a level 21)
If you are in to these kind of games (where politics is really inportant), join!
You can help me (and yourself in advance) by registering at this link:
erepublik.com/en/referrer/Mr_Cro
When you start playing, you will get a message from your country president (how to play, inportant links etc) and when you reach level 7, you may enter a political party (you will help your eCountry, your eCitizens, your eParty, eFriends and me :D - when you reach level 6, you and I will get 5 gold)
Please, just test the game (5-10 minutes/day) and register at this link:
erepublik.com/en/referrer/Mr_Cro
(*It is very inportant that you register over this link, not erepublik.com/en*)
I am sure that you will love the game (expetialy because you're into politics)
erepublik.com/en/referrer/Mr_Cro
Thank you for these 5 minutes of your time and thank you in advance for registering and playing :)
Lets make at least in the eWorld something what we can't in the Real One
P.S. sry for my bad english :)

eRepublik is a very interesting game, easy and free to play, and relevant. There are tons of people who are interested in Communism and Communalism, and can be persuaded by the success shown ingame. However, all factions need people. Most communist parties are lacking in membership.

PDXCommunist
19th October 2009, 16:23
Well, at the moment it's work, train, fight war, heal.

If you join a commune, most of the time you don't have to worry about food since it is given to you automatically and you don't have to click on it to use it.

The politics and wars are very interesting IMO.:)

EDIT: I forgot to mention, it's pretty funny too. I have a multi in Venezuela helping the 4chan/888chan/7chan PTO, they already have PP in the biggest party. Just waiting for the 25th when we will get elected president, and take over congress. ^^ Dunno what will happen when we take power, but it should be interesting.

Wow, so many names I recognise. Johnobrow here. I've been president of the People's Communist Party of the UK and it's sister party The Anarchist Cabal (which I formed myself incidentally) like loads of times. eRepublik is very good, but unlike some of the people in this thread I'm here to discuss reality rather than recruit people for a game.

Hi to all my fellow comrades. Not trying to detract from the importance of RL revolutionary activity, but I would like to ask for some assistance in a game. Ok, so it's a game, why? Reasoning is that it's an interesting and fun browser based economic/political simulator. This means that certain RL ideologies can be tried in their basic forms.

Hence why I am one of the co-founders of the eAustralian Communist Party. Currently we are in the top 5 parties of eAustralia, but we would like to eventually gain a majority in the Senate. To do this, we need more members and people who are willing to experiment with far-left economic policies.

So, if you're interested in helping me and my fellow eCommunists, please sign up by my link as it automatically lets me contact you in game. Also, if you want to check us out first, I'll provide a link to our forums.

Ok, that's the ad out of the way now. Well all I can say that my ad hasn't is that version 2 is soon to be released and that the ACP still really need more members. So, if you do join, it'd be really great if you could start somewhere (preferably Western Australia) in Australia. Secondly, version 2 is going to really mix things up and we're needing bright new minds to figure out the most viable communist methods of dealing with such blatant capitalist manipulations. Wow, it's also amazing to see so many of the famous commies in this thread. Anyway, I'm running away with myself, so just try it out and see if you like the new modules.
