has anyone seen this episode of "The Real Football Factories"? I am pleased with Mr.Dyer, I thought he was truthful of the situation, not being romantic or direspective. A good actor also :) If anyone is interested in another culture of football they should watch it.

I hate to say it but he really isn't a very good actor. I have watched most of the "real football factories" series and i was suprised at how good it was.
Worth a watch definatly.

I'm not an aexpert on actors. I think he is convincing in his roles which in my philsitine opinion is a good actor. I am open to convincing though. :p
real football factories is ok but only the Argentina one is really good.
Nice series, im not sure if i watched all the series but watched a lot of them and were definitely good ones.Put the camera to show football from another angle, and it was a good thing, football isnt just about the 22 crazy well paid mans kicking a round ball. Its way more.

There aren't any roles; he pretty much plays the same character but in different settings.
But yeah, his 'documentaries' are a bit more entertaining than his films.

Btw, 'Danny Dire' in Russia -- 'a proper big country [which] after the 1970 revolution started by Leon Trotsky and John Lennon...went leftwing... and i ain't talking John Barnes' -- was pretty good as well.

Probably the worst episode was Real Football Factories in Balkans.
I'm still feeling the shame, even tho i don't support any of the local teams. He spent some time with Partizan Belgrade fans, and all they did was showing off with guns and repeating a disgaceful story when their guy, Zare(who is there when they talk about it, the sick fuck), raped a croatian fan on a grave of Partizan's football legend. That is a disgrace for mankind, the ultimate act of humiliation, and they are proud of it, and even sing a song about that "event".
This was the first time that i saw Danny Dyer that scared.
The fascist pricks, gunmen, lowest point that a human can reach, that's what they are.
I'm too ashamed to post a link, if anyone is that interested, go find it yourself on youtube.

Yeah i saw that. Pretty grim. Specially the rape thing.
you just need to hold one phrase from the whole video, "fuck football".Those people have nothing to do with football, are there just for their "fuck" to kick others, play the tough guys etc.Football is nothing for them, just exact the opposite of real football fans which football is everything!
The "good news" is that all those are nationalists, thats why all this hatred. If they want to kill each other, let them do it...Fuck their nationalism, croatian or serbian, its still a piece of shit.So i dont give and much fuck when they destroy each other, i kinda enjoy it.

They haven't change much since than. And those idiots in the video are their leaders and regular fans try to impress them.
Last year there was a clash between fans of Vojvodina Novi Sad and Partizan Belgrade. One young life is lost because Partizan's fan heard too many affirmative stories from his older mates and shot him in the neck. In the next game Partizan's fans were openely making fun of the dead man.
Let me just add that Vojvodina is the only team in Serbia that has antifa crew on the stands. They are in minority, but, again, Vojvodina is the only club whose fans never hold serbian flags or sing any patriotic songs. Unlike nationalists from Red Star or Partizan, or opened fascists and nazis that support Rad.
The funny thing, if there is any, that all the clubs carry names that gloryfy working class and communist liberation movements in WW2, except Vojvodina, which is the name of a region in Serbia.
Rad means "labour", for example.

yeah I saw the episode with the serbian hooligan who raped a croatian holigan at the tomb of their ex-leader (or something). that was f***ing deep (been out of england for too long do people still say that to mean "sick"? sick in the bad sense)

That sounds awful. It is indeed disgusting, with club names like "Partizan" and "Red Star" no less... So Vojvodina are the only ones that aren't overrun by nationalist bullshit? What about the other clubs, are there any particularly "bad" ones?

Vojvodina is the only one that has antifa crew on the stands, yes, but the reason in their refusal to sing nationalistic songs and wave serbian, chetnik and other flags is opossition to Belgrade as a capital city, and the local "pride".
Still it is a nice sight without all the patriotic crap.
For the other matter, in Serbia there are only two clubs-Partizan and Red Star. 80% of the population support either one or another. Vojvodina would be the third.
Fans of Belgrade club Rad are known fascists with Combat 18, B&H and other folklore on the stands(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUlOQc1DukE&feature=related). After them, Borac Čačak also has fascist fans. They are in minority, unlike Rad where the percentage is about 99.9%.
There were plenty of incidents caused by fascists from Borac. First, they appeared dressed as KKK, sieg heiling at Zimbabwean player Mike Tamwanhera(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_MS6LNimDU)
Than they beat up Solomon Opaku from Ghana, that was on trial at Borac, saying "There is no place for you here, nigger".
Really a sorry football/fan scene here in Serbia. Even though i occasionally go to Vojvodina games because of my friends.
Thats really sad to hear from a country that offers great players
Anw fuck those idiots.Just support OMONOIA and St.Pauli :D Free ticket(football) to come and see OMONOIA down here by me
