I need help explaining to my friend why political ideologies are important. She currently describes herself as "Apathetic" but I tried to explain to her that she must have some sort of political views! She thinks politics is boring but what im trying to tell her is that your political ideology determines how how you look at the world and your views on society and whether she knows it or not she does have political and social views! Can anybody please help me explain this to her?

They arent.
What you think may be important but not squeezing into boxes and labeling yourself.

Politics affect you whether you affect politics or not. So you better be political for your own good, and for the good of your class. You dont have to be political through parliament. Myriad other ways exist.

People who say they are "apathetic" in regards to politics are often just convinced that what they do dosn't matter. This could be because they see voting in elections as the extent of their political power or because they feel disconnected from mainstream political parties. So I think it's important to break the "political" conversation out of the narrow definitions of politics set up by the mainstream.

If your friend dosn't like talking about politics, it could be that they are overconfident and feel like if they give their opinion, they will be shouted down by people with different views.

With "apolitical" people you can't just talk to them about politics in the abstract. If you have a conversation with them about concrete things in their own life... like their job, school, family life, usually political issues come up naturally. When someone complains about their job, this is where you can explain things that seemingly don't make sense (like "why are we short-handed on Friday nights when it's busiest") using a radical framework (They are short-handed because this is how owners make money: less wages for more work").

Che Guevara said, "To be apolitical is to turn one's back on every movement in the world."

No-one is really apathetic. Everybody has an opinion on things; not always well developed opinions, but they are there.

politics is about making choices and participating in society.

however currently it has been perverted to the point where it is pointless as there are no choices to be made when all party's represent the same interests.

instead you should focus on her reason for being apathetic she probably instinctively knows that its pointless so you should show her how revolutionary leftism is about giving back the power to the masses.
