That is not at all like Robespierre. Robespierre was a short, squeakish man with a monotone voice. He never gesticulated during his speeches and always slowly read from a paper. He did not even look at his audience.

Perhaps because those men he persuaded were already convinced of the necessity of eliminating the corrupt remnants of the ancien regime. His 'bidding', as you call it.
