They think their vote means something....the got near enough the same amount of votes as before, but they got MEPs because Labours vote fell.

Right now we need to make sure Gordon Brown steps down and pushes the Labour back where it used to be.

I don't see what good trying to push Labour back 'where it was' would do. They were still capitalists and anti-worker, just another faction of bourgeoisie politics. If they moved back to a more social democratic Old Labour position it'd be opputunism, and they'd soon move straight back again.

With a much lower turnout their vote went up a couple of percentage points and remained more or less the same in overall number.

In real terms their vote increased. Many people who voted BNP last time would not have voted at all this time, many people who didnt vote last time would have voted BNP this time, and from all the bleating I am guessing that many of the BNPs votes from last time went to the UKIP.

In an election where every major parties overall vote numbers went down for the BNP to poll almost the same as last time [a little under a million] is a big win for them.

What can be done to stop idiots voting?

I'm not sure posting comments about 'battering' the BNP is constructive...

As for labour, i think the ship is sinking already. If things carry on they way they are i think we're headed for a cameron premiership tbh.

HLVS is spot on, they're just another side of the bourgeioise coin. What we need is for the working class to wake up and realise we dont need any of them.
