I think it is safe to say that we can credit the american popular music industry for giving us these emmorable artists, Justin Timberlake, Brittany Spears, Enrique Igulasias(sp?) and so on.
I think It's also think It's safe to say that it has also contributed to destroying an industry which has gone on to produce some of the most talented artists in the history of the world, Jimi hendrix, Miles Davis, War.....
as well as butcher and unsanctifying what was left of those previous artists....ie American pop butchering the hell out of Marvin Gaye's (whats goin on) © 9/11 or any other artist you wish to name.
The truly good never last that long in teh public eye....they will always be there but for some reason they are never in the most popular sector
so I think we need to thank the American pop industry for giving us the following things
1. Crappy New Artists
2. Trying to hide good old artists
3. Butchering Good Old Artists
But not all hope is lost
incase you have been in a closet for the past year and a half
there was a series called american idol in which three judges went on a search to find the next american idol....with fat ass randy...paula abdule..and Simon..the cynical abiguosly gay british asshole.
And they found that american idol....her name...Kelly Clarkson.....
ok I personally think she sucks ass....I would have picked Tamyra Gray....Ryan Star...or Christina(forget her last name...the half black half korean [i think] girl) but then again I only say this because I want to bone those three girls to no end.
But my personal sexual fantasies aside
This Year American IDol is back and better than ever
that right american idol: garuanteed to make you hate america all over again
thoughts?

"guarunteed to ruin music"
- I'd agree only they've already done that .
I think you could definitly say music was ruined when Puff Daddy ripped off the Soul Sonic Force. Oh, well.
Still they can't take it all.

music isn't dead though..it went into hiding
It moved to New Jersey..where it's sharing an apartment with Tupac
they both work at a pizza shop and they have a dog and on weekends they somtimes volunteer at a nursing home

some people on that show... i would rather hear nails on a blackboard. LardLad I have heard Marvin Gayes version and after 9/11 when (e)M(p)T(y)V released thier "version" they did butcher the song.
i just hope there is never a pop version of Get Up Stand Up

Hey don't joke around cuz if that happens then we are going to have to blow up america and I really don't want to kill everyone

You're going to make me vomit. I remember I heard Alicia Keys (Maybe it was someone else, they're all the same) doing a cover of Redemption Song at some AIDS Day thing. I felt so sad, I nearly burst into tears. It was the worst day of my life.

Anywho, yeah, complete and utter shite. Some of those crappy people have to be plants though, honestly. Can anyone be that self-delusional.
