I was wondering what the various socialist parties are doing and saying as a response to the UK "expenses row"?
This seems to me like a good time to put forward the argument that bourgeois democracy is just that; democracy for the exploiters who (ab)use their positions when they're voted in to take away even more from the workers by abusing the so-called "welfare state" system which they themselves created.
So yeah, what are the socialists doing and saying? Any demonstrations planned? Any leaflets or pamphlets written about this and distributed that I could read?
Also, what is the mood of the working-class there at the moment, as best you can tell? Are they angry, just disappointed, switching parties but not turning against the system itself?
Any first-hand information from UK members would be appreciated. :)
