Hey everyone, I'm a card carrying member of the International Socialist Organization from Santa Cruz, California and I've decided that since I'll have more free time this Summer then is usual I'd take the time to try and become involved in the debates on this forum. I've been a Marxist for about a year, a "Democratic Socialist" in the Orwellian sense for most of my life before that (Turn 19 in a couple weeks). Right now I'm a student at UCSC, but I wouldn't be if I didn't have an EFC of 0 which makes me eligible for a lot of government/university aid. Which is useful, because I see myself as basically trying to use the government's money to the best of my ability to study Marxism and Revolutionary theory for as long as possible. And yea, look forward to hopefully having debates that will force me to think about and really come to grips with my own political views.
