ok so its my friends birthday
and as part of his present i am gonna make him a compilation cd. The problem being i have no fucking clue what to put on it.
Cos he was a huge range of taste in music, he likes his punk mainly and loves his ska, so i was wondering if you lot could give me some less well known bands and ill bung some of them on a cd for him
Was gonna just put nofx, less than jake etc stuff i know he really likes, but he has it all on cd so there aint any point!
So yea as many and any suggestions as possible please!
cheers!

Throw on "Ma Meeshka Mow Skowz" by Mr. Bungle. He's sure to love it.

BOZG,
Are you actually encouraging her to go consume and spend money? If you are, stop it!
Thank you.
Mcleodstickle,
Burning CD's is perhaps my favorite newest hobby, and if you can make the right mix- suited well for a friend- it makes one of the best- and most thoughtful- gifts.
But I have no advice on track lists, because I avoid punk and ska, sorry. Good luck though.

What type of punk does he like?
Hardcore? Minor Threat.
Political? Subhumans and Dead Kennedys.
Pop/Punk? Midtown.
Ska... if he knows Spanish, then I greatly recommend Maldita Vecindad and Tijuana No! and Los Kung Fu Monkeys, which also sing in English. Also Voodoo Glow Skulls.
