Anti-Flag? - Anti-Flag Anarchy?

I really like Anti-Flag. There a good Political Punk Band. But I think Their belief in anarchy sucks. Anarchy Will never work. Its A PROVEN FACT. The world will not last for one second. I believe in Socialism. If i had a band i would just be talking about That instead of anarchy.

they are okay, but i hate the fact that every so called 'punk' in my school likes them, probably because they think that they must like every political punk band out there, even though most of them don't know a thing about politics.

I completely disagree with you. From the Marxist perspective, socialism will evolve into communism, and communism will elimate class heirarchy, thus eventually withering away the need for federal government. You need more education about anarchism. How is it a proven fact that it won't work?

Anti-Flag is good for a listen or two. Not really political punk.. they kind of get into it but not really in-depth like the Dead Kennedys for example.

Anti Flag is nothing more than another *****ing band, your not gonna see them anytime soon coming up with ideas. Anarchy does work, everyday. Its just the way for people to work together without needing a dictator around to tell them what to do. Like an example I saw, if you saw a line to the place you wanted to go to, would you get in it, or be a complete jackass, and shove your way through. If you got in the line, your anarchist, at least in part.

"Seattle Was A Riot" is Anti-Flag's best song. It's about the WTO Protest.

"Angry Young and Poor" and "A New Kind of Army" are good also. They aren't a bad band, just usually misunderstood. Also their vocals are very hard to comprehend, usually.

I personally like " Indie sux, Hardline sux, emo sux YOU SUCK" but that's my personal opinion. They don't really get in depth about their political stand, but I do like them a lot....

lol, I'd be interested in your definition of the term "proven fact". What you are talking about is completely unmeasurable without imposing strict criteria, and thus unprovable. Furthermore, it has never even been attempted.

BUT, we are here to talk about music, so yeah I like their music :biggrin:

Anarchy is a load of crap it will never work. Only stupid little brainwashed posers believe in that just because punks "believe in it". Anti-flag are socialist so it really doesn't matter. Look what happened to the taliban. Communisim doesn't work either look at how crappy the communist parties are and how poor their countries run. But yah i have to agree a new kind of army is a good song by them. I like 911 for peace more though.

Anyway, it's not a bad band, "Die For Your Government" is my favorite song by them.

anti-flag is prolly the second of my favorite bands, im so glad to c someone else likes them.

They say in a song there not against the american flag but against war, and patriotism, they are they are the best, thden again, they have a song called stars and stripes are falling, so they culd hate u.s, in which case id shake there hands

Most punk bands have no clue what the fuck they are talking about, anti flag has some clue, just a little, dead kennedys, a lot, bad religion, a bit more than anti flag, and the clash, quite a bit also, but the rest, pretty much fuck them.

Blibblob - You know not what you talk about. there are many more punk bands then the ones you stated who knew what they were talking about. There are hundreds upon hundreds of small punk bands i'm sure you;ve never even heard of, how can you judge them? Perhaps no large-scale punk bands besides DK, A-F, Bad Religion, know what the hell they are talking about. But there are definitly "Punk" bands out there who are getting a good message accross, and they are doing it there own way - one show at a time.
