Alan Maki is a dissident member of the CPUSA who runs a parody of the CPUSA, he knows the intricacies of all their leadership struggles. Some of it is pretty funny. I don't entirely disagree with some of his criticisms. But I think he acted pretty disgracefully during the 2008 election, actively misrepresenting himself, and attempting to embarrass Obama with connections to the CPUSA. Its one thing to question the CPUSa's Obama stance, its another to attempt to actively sabotage progressives.
He misrepresented himself as speaking for the CPUSA, and worked hand in hand with far-right organizations to try to "expose" Obama's ties to the the CPUSA.

In a blatant misappropriation of Obama campaign resources, "communist" blogger Alan Maki is colluding with "conservative" blogger Cliff Kincaid in a disinformation campaign designed to portray Barack Obama as communist-influenced [1]. Accuracy In Media's Kincaid has been running this redbaiting campaign since he published "Obama's Communist Mentor" [2] in February 2008, in which Kincaid exaggerated the influence of "communist" Frank Marshall Davis (1905-1987) on teenage Obama. "Frank" was mentioned in Obama's "Dreams From My Father.'
