Yeah OK, I'm currently going through some really serious heartache. I'm staying alive by listening to hardcore 24/7 and smoking a fucklotta hash. Anyone got any other suggestions for tracks to listen to??

Anything by Type O Negative (especially "Slow, Deep and Hard". Its a lot harder, faster and angrier than their following albums and still has thrash and HC elements from Carnivore).

"...SOUL OF A WOMAN WAS CREATED BELOW..."

GR, you need to put Dazed and Confused on repeat. Got me out of a jam once. That's all I can think of. Best of luck...this too shall pass.

Canikickit might not approve, but try:

Bob Marley - Soul Shakedown Party

Always rescues me from a funk.

Okay, how about an obscure-ish Bob Marley song?

Punky Reggae Party the Lee Perry mix. So, it's nothing to do with heartache, but who gives a shit, right?

If you want to wallow there's nothing like some NIN, also I'd recommend Sister's of mercy simply cos it's something I don't think you listen to and listening to new music makes you think about the music more and your pain less (in my experience). Also try reading poems, I know a few about splitting up and stuff, I could send them to you if you like.

I really hope it gets better for you. *hugs*

I know. I only ever listen to The Downward Spiral when I've reached the stage beyond suicidal. I need some stuff just to help me through the day-to-day low.

I find Coldplay and Radiohead are good to listen to when you are down.

and; bulletproof, pyramid song, just, and exit music---by radiohead

I thought of something really good earlier but I forgot what.

You could get the requiem for a dream soundtrack but that's kinda on the same footing of NIN.

I think I agree with the suggestion of Radiohead, or somethng neutral to relieve all the tension. It depends on hwo music affects you, sometimes having something neutral or "happy" makes it worse, sometimes it helps sooth me. I'd also suggest classical like Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet.

Yep. I'm listening to that quite a bit. The Scientist makes me bawl like a baby.

Interesting. I've listened to OK Computer a bit, but I can't deal with any other Radiohead when I'm in this state.

Maybe some Deftones... Can't say I'm much of a fan of them, but their White Pony album is pretty good..
