Dude they weren't actually singing. They got caught when the backing tape got stuck and started repeating. It went something like "Girl you know, you know, you know, you know, you know" in the middle of one of their concerts.

No, one of them committed suicide. The other one is an alcoholic and pops pills. Okay, I made that second part up, but it would be fitting.

Britney Spears was "kind of" caught sometime last year but was able to get out of the situation. During one of the concerts, after her song had finished, her lips were still moving on the big screen but she claimed because of the delay between the camera and screen that it only appeared she was still singing.
