My name is Mason, and I have been a Communist for two years. I was raised in a Republican, white, upper middle class home, but over time I grew to realize the social and economic problems in the United States. I began to research the "right" side of political and economic spectrum, and didn't like what I found. Capitalism seemed to pass the economic situation of people from generation to generation, which very few jumps and drops between the upper, middle, and lower classes. So, I started to look more to the left. Eventually, while browsing through my library, I saw a copy of the Communist Manifesto in red leather binding, and I secretly checked it out without showing it to my parents. I read it once, and then read it another time over. It made so much sense.

So here I am today, I'm sixteen years old and I am a Sophomore in High School.

Welcome aboard. Reading the manifesto kind of sealed it for me, although the first Marx I'd read came from Capital (more specifically, The Fetishism of Commodities). Kudos for finding your way here despite coming from Right-wing circumstances. I hope you enjoy your stay; there is much to learn, and a good number of comrades to help you along the way. ;)
