I have been assigned a school project on communism (in specific El Che). would it be ethical to put these into a powerpoint presentation only with sickles, pics. of Che, etc.?

Why would it be analogous to subliminal advertising (if that's what you are referring to) to put in pictures which would be relevant for your slide so (given its topic)? On the other than, if you were assigned to do a powerpoint on an unrelated topic and suggested inserting slides to subliminally influence peoples politics, I don't think it would be so much an issue of morality as an issue of practicality and purpose. It would just be stupid.

Well, I've got no idea how you would make those slides subliminal, but putting communist pictures in a slide show about communism seems pretty normal.

While your at it, put in a little slide here and there which says 'Give all your money to HLVS', because this sure fire technique of convincing people to do anything using subliminal messages could be a big money maker for me, and I could then stop hagnign around with all these crusty anarchos.
