There's a new sticky over in the music forum which is aimed at promoting our homegrown artists amongst ourselves.

From the thread:

In regards to the direction of the music forum, it's to be geared towards aiding in the creation of music as well as the discussion about mainstream music. I also think it's a good reflection of the nature of this board as we are a community and as a community we support each other in our endeavours.

So whether you're a myspace MC or a classically trained pianist, here is a place for you guys to pimp yourselves.

What's your game out of interest Sam? aka what do you play/do?

I was in a techno band called "invaders of the lost time". Our first album was called "Technoquest", it was a big hit. Our second album was ill fated.

I performed in a reggae band who ripped off Marley, it was shocking.

Performed in a rap duo which was always intended to be self-mocking.

Recroded some rock stuff with my chums, i'd post the link but SECURITY CULTURE.

I was in a joke grindcore band (keyboards, screaming) during highschool which pretty much went out of its way to be as offensive as possible.
I'm not sure I want to post that here.

I have access to an awesome music studio with tons of really expensive equipment (gigantic Mixers that look like the Hal 2000) during the school year, but ironically, I find it incredibly hard to get anything done during that time. Probably because I was trying to 'force' creativity.

I really want to write some Industrial/Neofolk stuff with Anti-revisionist communist themes (a la Test Department), but I'm still saving up money for a cheap midi keyboard and I have yet to pirate the software I like to work with (Reason, Kontakt, Digital Performer).
*sigh*... someday I'll reach my potential... hopefully

I make music on Fruity Loops, but it's not very hip. All songs are groovy though. I ain't showin' them to anybody. I can't though, anyway, as I have no way of getting them on this computer. So there you go.
