I have seen billboards and signs cropping up for them around the city. Frankly I was quite repulsed when I first saw their slogan "Britian is a Christian country, lets keep it that way". But I don't know much else about them. Are they fascists or just more Republicans in the US?

Apparently they have a poster which says 'Vote Christian, and we'll keep the BNP out together' with the anti-nazi sign beneath it!

I'd say they're ignorable. Especially in England.

Yeah I saw that one. It just has a swastika next to it and I thought they were promoting that. But I then I saw the BNP sign next to it.

I was wondering this as well, I got my postal vote for the European Elections and was marvelling at the strange parties...

Taking religion into politics is wrong and dangerous.

But the UK has no history of confessional parties. Plus, the official religion has about 60 members. 20 royals and 40 vicars.

I recognise one of those people - he was on Make Me a Christian. Hateful bastard. His justification for creationism was, I quote, 'I believe in Genesis, because Jesus believed in it.' Obviously the fact that, at the time of Jesus' life, there wasn't a 150 year-old book saying that Genesis is inconsistent.

Genesis is inconsistent
Their only good album was 'Selling England by the Pound'.

They will probably be defunct in five years. Have they even got the slightest idea of what the average British person thinks of religion? Most people aren't very religious at all and the vast majority of Christians in this country are Christian in name only (ie, they got baptised but only ever go to church for baptisms, weddings and funerals).
Apparently, their bandwidth has exceeded. So I wasn't able to view the website. I can imagine what they're like.
We have a similar party here in the US, far more right-wing the Republicans, called the Constitution Party. They get a lot of votes, they're one of the "major third parties".

Never said they had so much influence, just that they get a lot of votes, like the Libertarians and the Greens do.
