Dredg - nonpolitical...but awesome

I heard about these guys online early this fall and I bought their CD--Leitmotif--because it was on sale. The CD was excellent...I was suprised to learn that Leitmotif was a rerelease of the band's second indie album (it may have been the third...)!

I found some of their earlier stuff on Kazaa and I was even more impressed, the song 'Is Not Everything', for example, sounds like something unusually good that might be heard on a college radio station today...but it was recorded in 1997!

But I wasn't at all prepared to hear the stuff on their new album, El Cielo...HOLY SHIT, it's one of those albums where you need a break after every song, it's just that good. Like nothing I've ever heard before...

But listen for yourself.

i like them both leimotif and el cieio are awesome. it is best to listen to the albums the whole way through.

I'm serious here, guys...if you don't check this band out you are really going to miss out on some awsome music.


I mean it, these guys deserve to be the rock-gods of the new century.
