i'm sick of all the hate

Hey, my name is Paul, and I'm a high school student in a small town in Ohio.

I'm really not sure what kind of leftist I am (yet, lol) but i do think that some form of leftist is a more correct way of life.

I originally got into leftism when my friend did a report on cuba, and started exploring the different forms of leftism. Now I am over at his house at least five days a week, and he is my best friend, so, naturally, his idea's rubbed off on me.

In this year of schooling (being my sophmore, about to be junior), I have a history teacher who i get into debates (just friendly student v. teacher, no anger or anything, haha) with. One day he just started calling me Comrad, and the name just kind of stuck with me. Now most of the student in the class with me call me comrad, rather then my name, which I honestly like.

But as always, with a leftist title came the the people who were hard-core right wing's hate. Now i've decided to come to this site, by referral of my previous stated best friend, to learn all i can about the different types of leftism (not sure if thats the right word), and be able to debate with my teacher and the righties as well with facts and how things are suppose to work, have failed, and why they would succeed.

My high school days just ended (literally today) so, I know the cappie teachers and students will give you crap. Just disprove their argument and leave it at that. Trying to convert the ones who say "damn commie" or other slander of something they know nothing about doesn't work. (I learned that the hard way) Stay strong and read up, high schoolers can be igronant fucks at times. Read the Manifesto if you haven't already, it should help you find out were you fall as a leftist.:hammersickle:

Welcome aboard, comrade. I've definitely been in those shoes before, and I know the discomfort. Being a leftist in the USA is hard, but I'm sure RevLeft will be a good resource for you on your trip "down the rabbit hole."
