i used to live in the chicago area not far from the town where Smashing Pumpkins started. a lot of teens there listened to them. I live in the Tampa,Florida area now where at the record store I go to Billy went to when he lived in St. Petersburg he was in a band called The Marks
i think they are good to listen to when i dont want to listen to anything political

Yeh i'm a big fan of them
'Zero' is one of my fave all time songs, and 'Mellon Collie And The Inifinate Sadness' one of my fave albums.

They had their moments. Unfortunately, they're one of those bands who could never make 12 good tracks on an album...their brilliance was restricted to certain tracks, such as Zero, Bullet with Butterfly Wings and Today.

I've only got Adore, which isn't great because of the drum machine, but with a real drummer it could be damn near excellent in my opinion. I love 'Blank Page', it's just so...I don't know...it just is.

I love aeroplane flies high.
smashing pumpkins are good but I agree with guerrillaradio in that they only have a few good songs and the rest are hit and miss.

I like Smashing Pumpkins really much but i'm not a fan and just have Greatest Hits. Siamese Dream is maybe their best album and Disarm is SOOO fuckin good and Bullet With Butterfly Wings is also one of my favourite.

I heard one of their songs on the BBC's Radio 1 Rock show last tuesday, it was ok, the new album is supposed to come out sometime in the new year.

Smashing Pumpkins KICKS FUCKING ASS.
Too many good songs to list here. There's something I love about virtually every one of their songs.
And their box set of B-sides, Aeroplane Flies High...too good for words.
They are in the list of bands I wish I could rewind time and see in concert back in the day.

i love the smashing pumpkins but to me zwan seem overly repetative and they have way to many guitarists fr them all to be useful 4 or something and all electric

Today is one of my favorite songs ever. I know I said that already, but it's so good that it needs to be said twice.

I agree... theres just something about them... I like a lot of bands and some I enjoy hearing more than the Pumpkins, but theres something that makes me think that they have got to be the best band ever, nothing else like it at all...
Honestly is amazing, the other Zwan songs are great too.
Today is the favourite song of many people, that whole album is so good, particularloy Disarm and Today. Mellon Collie is simply unbelievable.
Who has got the James Iha album? You know, the Pumpkins guitarist... His solo album is beautiful.
