How would one go about this without having it look abnormal?

I used to use the whiteboard markers to conceal various things when i was in high school. They have more space in them and you can remove the bottom with a pair of pliers. Make sure whatever you are storing does not rattle around and that the inside is clean or your goods will likely absorb marker odor/flavor.
I can't figure out how to get the bottom off, it doesn't seem to have one!

Use a whiteboard marker.
I am and it just has that indent with all the inward teath in it.
Maybe it's a different kind of whiteboard marker?

If you're looking for a good place to hide a joint then Bic pens work great and they're really easy to hollow out.
But bics are pretty small aren't they?
Nevermind, I figured it out!
Grab the lid
Wiggle and pull
The top comes up
Cut the ink a bit out
Hot glue or tape it up
Trim the thread of the black part
Put anything small inside
Pop it back
Ta-da!!

Use a cylindrical shaped permanent marker. The ones that look like this:

Then twist or bite off the end opposite of the tip and pull out the spongy ink filled thing and replace the contents and keep it in a pencil case/pouch with a bunch of other markers and pens and pencils. Then carry it around and tell people its your art supplies!
Those look kinda expensive/specialized for art?

Lots of head shops sell things like hollowed out shaving brushes (http://www.thebodyshop-usa.com/images/accessories/products/pd_mens_synthetic_shave_brush.jpg) (pic included because half of my friends had no idea what I was on about and thought it was dusting your face after shaving...) for pocket change that you can use to conceal anything (that's legal to carry of course).
