This is a tread mainly for American baseball fans. I obviously could not list all teams, however I listed the most popular. I voted Yankees.

I voted Red Sox. Pretty difficult to pick between Yankees and Red Sox, but I think the latter edge it. To be honest though there's another couple of teams that could compete and you only need to look at last season (Phillies as champions, the Rays fantastic season and the best record belonging to the Angels) to see that there's more to baseball than those two...

I voted yankees despite knowing nothing about baseball.

Either Cuba national baseball teamhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:FCBA.jpghttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:FCBA.jpghttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:FCBA.jpg (they are on the top in The World Ranking with 1021.50 points with 2nd best USA 799.32 points)
or
Santiago de Cuba (they won Cuban national series 2008)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:SCU_logo.pnghttp://www.granma.cu/ingles/index.htmlhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:SCU_logo.pnghttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:SCU_logo.png

the mets need to play consistently to win this world series this year.
I know Yankees but thats it.I think anyone with basic sport knowledges recognizes the NY symbol which is on fuck too many clothes especially hats.
It seems they are the most popular team. Its a sport i always find interesting, it seems a nice one, instead of that stupid think you have in the US calling "football".

The Red Sox. We (I know I'm not actually a part of the team) have the deepest pitching staff in both leagues, the reigning AL MVP Pedroia, as well as one of the best lineups in terms of avg. The only real hole we have now that Lowrie is out is at Shortstop.

If it makes you feel better i still call soccer football, and the retarded American version, rugby for pussies!

Good.Still though, pussies is a sexist word(in the way you mean it of course, not the word on itself), and retarded is prejudiced language, please dont use them again.
But yeah, with the correct wording, american "football" does sucks big time.

And they won't. The problem is just that: they're too damned inconsistent. Youkilis ripped the Mets apart yesterday, not just with the three-run homer but being all over the top of the Mets pitchers.
To answer the question I don't think its anyone up there's season this year. If we're talking about 'better' right now it would probably be the Padres with their nine-game winning streak to bring them back to 22-22 overall.

Hasn't held us back as far as I can tell. If everyone was benched at the first sign of trouble, or even the second, hardly anyone would stay in the majors. And he hit his first HR the other day, so things may be making a turn for the better. :D

I really hope he does turn it round as I have a lot of time for him, but if you don't think having your DH having an average of .197 and "slugging" .306 at the age of 33 isn't holding back a team that should be challenging for the series I'm surprised. It's still relatively early in the season and sample sizes are relatively small, but I'd be concerned if I supported the Red Sox.
