I've recently been thinking how capitalism effects natural selection & genetic variability and have come up with a theory that capital and capitalism as a socioeconomic structure secures desirable genetic traits for the Bourgeoisie.

Now, lets say if bourgeoisie Bob has a large amount of capital in his piggy bank, he is able to get the best health-care, education, provide security through capital, own a nice house, eat good food etc. Now.. proletariat Page is attracted to bourgeois Bob because he can provide all this for her thus securing her offspring with all of the above. Bourgeoisie Bob notices that proletariat Page has nice blond hair, has a weight to hip ratio of 0.7 is such and such high etc. and the two have offspring which have Page's desirable genetic traits.

Now this child, grows up and inherits his fathers means of production, house, capital etc. but in addition to this has the desirable genetic traits from his mother, this person, we'll call him Charlie, finds another rich upper-class girl called Paris who too has inherited the means of production and desirable genetics from her parents, and the two get married and have a child who inherits both their means of production and all their capital as well as, again, more desirable genetic traits.

So, what you get is a thriving, healthy class of bourgeoisie who's survivability is guaranteed by Capitalism.

Looking forward to your comments etc.

I do not see where reality comes into this.

In evolutionary terms, 'old money' is an example of a niche (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niche_(ecology)). Unlike the natural world, people fall in and out of this exclusive club, within their lifetime. This dilutes the effect in terms of genetics.

Genetics generally don't always accumulate in a positive way. The Royal Family is the result of inbreeding. However, inbreeding is a problem because of shared character traits. The offspring of intelligent individuals sometimes lack the incentive to succeed under a capitalist system.

Superior numbers isn't why a revolution could succeed. Super power makes the difference. If anything, the superior resource power controlled by the elite makes capitalism sustainable. I'm not sure a revolution is inevitable, like Marx.

I wouldn't be unnecessary pessimistic either. Inevitability, positive or negative, is a good excuse to sit on your ass and do nothing about a problem.
