This is awesome. Tom Morello has teamed up with Boots Riley to get a revolutionary message out with intense music. I don't know if any of you have heard them, but it's truly awesome. They're described as RATM, only slightly funkier. I can't get over it. Great message with great music,

UPDATE: Their ENTIRE album is now on their myspace, available for your ears.

I think they're touring now with Janes Addiction or some other 90's band. Gotta get me some tickets.

How sick would it be to have Rage back together with Zach and Boots...

I don't think their instrumentation is great. Boots Riley is an excellent rapper and Morello is an excellent guitarist. But the guitar is too much in the foreground.

It'd sound better if the drums were in the foreground and the guitar in the background. Also, too much noise on the high end of the spectrum. The mid-level needs a boost and the low-levels could use some reverb & delay.

I prefer the new band of Zack: One Day As A Lion, and the solo project of Morello, The Nightwatchman.

I don't think these guys are legit. I think They're a bunch of capitalist assholes cashing in on the "revolutionary" image just like rage against the machines did. Fuck both of them.

Boots is great and does public appearances to promote events by revolutionary and radical groups in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I have a much bigger problem with groups that appropriate radical images and slogans to promote watered-down liberal ideas. If Boots can use the imagery of the Black Panthers and the slang of Hyphy and Oakland hip hop to talk about US soldiers shooting their officers, that's OK by me.
