Loved beasts and dinosaurs. I was quite young when they came out and used to love dinosaurs. Did you ever watch a program called Space with Sam Neill narrating. That was good.

I did see it yeah, it was very good. They also did a little known program called "the seven deadliest seas". It was fucking great. Basically think a walking with dinosaurs esque league table of the seven deadliest seas of all time.

Here's some pics of the hard ass sea monsters:

The liopleurodon, probably the hardest animal thing of all time. They reckon it was 25m long:

This big ass armoured fish thing:

That's a terrible show! How does a show about a private detective in Africa manage to be so twee and unchallenging? I don't want to sound savage, but where's the testicles in the post?

A state broadcaster who will have you imprisoned unless you give them a fixed sum. As a result they have massive resources (paying Jonathan Ross £18m over 3 years) and occasionally throw lots of money at stuff like Walking with Dinosaurs so the people will go "wow, the license fee was all worth it".

Rome was highly entertaining but it was pretty poor really. Not only that but it wasn;t made by the BBC, it was made by HBO.

If we're going by sexy presenter voices, does anyone watch Coast? I probably wouldn't have remembered if I didn't see that you're Scottish, but Neil Oliver's voice makes me come in my pants.

Yeah flight of the conchords is great but i reckon the second series got off to a pretty poor start. It all seemed a bit contrived.

second serie's are aways shit, especialy in succesful shows, cos they try to replicate the good aspects of the first series and try too hard

Nope, but I've found that shows I used to like don't get the same reception when I watch them these days. Not all shows but some seem to out date themselves.

The Phil Silvers Show. Although it was originally shown between 1955 and 1959 on CBS, the BBC kept repeating it almost daily, long after it was forgotten in the US, right up to 2004, and it was a permanent fixture in my childhood. Bilko will never become dated. (I keep remembering the 1959 episode when Bilko dressed up as a visiting General from the Cuban Revolutionary Army to fool Sgt. Ritzik into playing cards with him.)

The British Phil Silvers Appreciation Society has started up a petition to force the BBC to 'Bring Back Bilko!', which is available to sign here. (http://www.bpsas.co.uk/bring_back_bilko.html)
