My CD burner's back up and running. Burners rock! Who else burns? I've turned almost pro, racking up $2480 in free albums, assuming the average CD is $20. And I've only gotten started!!! :) :) :)
ANYWAY...
I'm trying to introduce Radiohead to a friend of mine. She's heard them before, she thinks, but I really want to give her Radiohead. After all, I can fit quite a bit on one burned CD, usually 15-20 songs.
So, gentle Radiohead fans, what would be the best intro? Or maybe the better way to ask is: What are Radiohead's best 20 songs?
I was thinking of focusing on OK Computer and Kid A, but I'm just not sure.

Well, IMHO, you'd best start off with the better-known songs like Creep, Street Spirit, My Iron Lung you know, old stuff from Pablo Honey, The Bends...Then freak her out with the spaced-out new stuff from Kid A and OK Computer...
Personally, I think their best music is on The Bends...

I don't know much Radiohead but I love Street Spirit. It's great especially when you're already depressed.

Well I haven't heard any Radiohead apart form the stuff on Kid A (which I own). Definitely include Optimistic and Idioteque (my personal favourite). Everything in its right place should also be on the CD.

They used to start their set with Talk Show Host, which was a slight headfuck. Now they start with The National Anthem. Both are good in my opinion.
As for the tracklist, I would recommend most of OK Computer and Kid A plus:
Planet Telex
Street Spirit
Just
My Iron Lung
...off The Bends
I Might Be Wrong
Knives Out
[opening track...I forget its title]
...off Amnesiac.
Creep off Pablo Honey.
Floyd.

I'd just burn her Pablo Honey it's their best album to date, and maybe a couple of tracks from "I might be wrong." Damn Neill Finn works well with Thom Yorke.
