Well I bought the new Audioslave CD, a while back.( on e week or so, I preorderd it ;) )
The sound is great, and its not as hard as RATM.
But one huge difference, no politics.
The text aint political at all.
But after all, its still a good CD and a good buy for sure.
Also on the cover it says that it gives me acces to secret content
at the audioslave site. ( ill check it out later )

More Cornell.
Except for Chocise, RATM is clear regonizable here.
You can download the mp3 of chocise here:

It rules, but you are right it does sound more like Cornell and the politics aren't there. Still, You can't have everything, right?

I heard some of it in my local indie today. I quite like it. Not so keen on the single though...

Can't say I'm terribly crazy about it. I keep expecting Zach to light up. Guitar, drums, then Zack! But then this weird guy I remember from my grunge days in high school starts singing.
Hmm, what other spectacular mix-and-matches can we think of?
-Mick Jagger joins Tool, rename themselves Lips.
-Madonna joins Radiohead, rename themselves Would You Like Head?
-Britney joins White Zombie, rename themselves We Speared Britney.
-Chris Cornell joins Rage Against The Machine...oh wait...

How does Cornell sound with the rest of the band? I'm having a hard time trying to connect Pretty Noose with People of The Sun.

Well I checked out the bonus content...
wich I can unlock with my audioslave cd.
And it be honest its kinda sad.
Pictures I can look at, but can't download.
Interviews that take way to long to download.
While writing this I came to this sad conclusion:
I miss Ratm :(
Floyd.

it is evident that Morello wants to stay polically aware. I agree it's a very cool sound but every time I listen to it I get a bit freaked out I can't quite get used to the sound. I think Cornell would be beter solo the guys a genius I'm just so used to soundgarden, everything sounds normal until Tom starts up. What it's like to me is listening to Soundgarden and the Neighbours are playing RATM really loud in the background.

Just downloaded Cochise. Not bad. Strong traces of Superunknown + guitar riffs sound like classic Morello. But Cornell sounds lke he's seriously constipated, which, by Cornell's standards, is a good thing.

I really don't like Audioslave. It seems like they just dropped the political issue like an old hat. Indeed, Tom is seemingly still political but he isn't showing it all too much. And I find the sound of the music just way to 1+1=2 nu-metal; nothing too original, you know?

I'm listening to it right now and I like it. I thought it'd be a little harder but that's all right. Just come at it with a fresh perspective, don't think RATM, just think, hey a new band, wonder what they sound like.
And I don't think it sounds like nu-metal really. I think the sound is pretty distinctive.

I think if u compar them to RAtM they really arnt very good, but its hard to compare anything to them ;) But if you do look at it like munkey soup said, there ok.
