Well... I really have gotten into this band. Angus Young is great. Bon Scott was a better singer.. but Brian Johnson filled his spot pretty well. I think they are really underrated. Any opinions. Just wanted to see if anyone was a fan.

Bon Scot rules. After him they went shit.
The old stuff is real good.

They're pretty good for the music they are.

Angus was great. Or should i say... is great, as AC/DC still lives. I don't see what everyone has against Johnson, Back in Blakc and You shook me are catchy songs and his singing is very much like Scott's. True it may not be originaly but it preserves the AC/DC sound.

Oh, Come on. You have to give Brian Johnson props on "Back In Black". Its AC/DC's best album. Bon's work in the 70's is better than the rest of Johnson's work but not "Back In Black"

Mazdak
16th November 2002, 18:02
Yeah, exactly. Back in Black was great. The song, and the album. I think they did as good a job as they could replacing Scott with Johnson as possible.

underated???? I highly doubt that. ACDC is as must for every true rocker. Every roceker of any kind has at least 2 acdc cd's as household necessities.

Of all the bands that have ever existed, AC/DC is by far the WORST. I'm being dead serious here. I base this on the fact that no other band makes me turn off the radio as fast as I do when I hear that first chord to "Back in Black" or that stupid fucking bell from whatever song that is. No band. No music, period. Nothing is more annoying than that stupid fuck's voice. I don't know how any of you can actually sit and listen to that garbage.

MitRS, I'm a certain kind of "rocker" who doesn't own any AC/DC CD's in my house, nor has any intent of owning any of that trash. What does that make me now?

your still a rocker only you are now a rocker who is on very bad terms with myself (not that you really care)

You are no less of a rocker, you have just really really pissed me off with your stupid comments. But rather than get all bent out of shape, I'll just shrug it off.

I still think you are a very silly though, being a rocker and not liking acdc. That is like being a communist and not liking Marx.

for example:

Michael De Panama: yes, I am a firm believer of Marxist communism and philosophy however I am thoroughly convinced that Marx is a complete idiot and his works are complete trash. I would never purchase or even read any of that bumbling idiot's works under any circumstance because he is such an idiot and made such horrible publications such as the communist mannifesto and other rambling garbage that really really sucks more than anything in the existance of this god forsaken universe.

I am sorry if I exaggerated but that's how you sound to me.

And if your just trying to be a little different, there is no harm in telling us, your secret is safe with me.

however, I will agree with you that Bonn scott and Brian Johnson both can get a little annoying from time to time.

But I wouldn't go so far as to call them annoying fucks

lol , how true, i hate Rage against the Machine.

Back in Black has some annoying vocals, bnut the solo/s are great. Hells Bells is an excellent song.

Bon is better, but even so, it isnt just the singing that makes the band you know. Ever see angus play?

Being a "rocker" and hating AC/DC is like being a communist who hates Marx? What the fuck are you talking about? You give this band waaaaay too much credit. AC/DC didn't revolutionize the entire genre of rock or anything. They were one band. A very annoying band, too.

I think Led Zeppelin would be more the Karl Marx equivalent of rock. Something like that. Led Zeppelin is the one band that I think has influenced the most musicians out there.

And no, I'm not trying to be "different". I honestly never liked AC/DC, and have always found them extremely irritating. I hate AC/DC, I can't stand Motley Crue, and Kiss is fucking awefull.

hey nobody is disagreeing with you with Motley crue or kiss. I also think they both suck ass. But acdc is in an entirely different ball park. Sure, they didn't revolutionize rock and roll but they are a great band.

I find it hard to see why you can't like them. The only thing I can think of is the vocals which seems to be the source of your hatred for the band. But it is just a guess.

led zeppelin is influencing a lot of musicians out there

yes. this is a problem. ;)

So, moving on, anybody here know where I can find a good Beach Boys t-shirt in a size small? I've been looking everywhere, and all I ever find are large and extra large fat ass shirts. Why can't the fucking shirt companies make smaller fucking shirts? Jesus. I'll kick all their asses for this outrage.

Mazdak
27th November 2002, 23:58
LOL, so let me get this straight, you like the beach boys(anyone ever hear them sing?) but you hate AC/DC(decent singing/good for what they do, "unique").

I can't help you with the whole beach boys thing. they are pretty right wing, and one just died ya know.

Nothing like a good sandwhich of Beach Boys and Cradle of Filth, Mazdak.

AC/DC got a freaky guitarist, he's good but he just never stops fucking prancing all over the stage, it drives me crazy coz it looks like his got a lemming up his arse or something...

i will take this time to announce my undying, obsessive, kinda creepy love for AC/DC. Back in Black is one of my favorite songs ever. Mazdak, you now have my respect because you like them.

Well, my little AC/DC loving comrades, wrap your reading gear around this. AC/DC before they were big used to play at my local watering hole. Just a pub band playing at the Dorset Gardens Hotel (about five blocks from my house) they were. (of course quite a few years pre- my birth)

Its funny with Angus, you know how he wore the school uniform? It was because he used to show to to gigs straight after school. He actually legally wasn't allowed to play there because he was under 18.

Lefty, i know what you mean.

IHP you lucky bastartd.

Suffianar, thats the idea, Angus gets all possessed when he played. The orignal band however, almost entirely wore costumes(him and his schoolboy uniform), (the bassist wore a special ed helmet and the drummer wore a tophat). But they all got booted pretty quickly.
