which one is the best?

why?

i say smash bros on N64 is the best. no crazy stages that flip on the player.
the characters are basically balanced. no final smash (though it can be taken off, however from what i have seen few do). the game play is easier, and plus the old school vibe is classic (of course i am biased since i grew up on the original Sega).

I like Melee the best although I really like some of the new characters on Brawl such as Pit.

The N64 one is classic and fun, but really slow-paced compared to the newer ones. I remember the first time I played Brawl, I played terribly cuz I wasn't used to the speed of it.

But once I got used to it, Brawl is really fun. I think I like it better than the original one.

Funny, a mate just bought brawl, with the wii controllers it's not easy, but you can plug in the gamecube controllers and then it's definitely the best version, the final smash is really fun.

The problem with Brawl is it's rubbish selection of characters. They also absolutely ruined Mario in it!

Of the three, Melee is the best. It's the fastest, and the deepest of the three. Brawl was such a step backwards, it's not even funny.

My real vote goes to Brawl+, however. It's Brawl, but made good through hacks. It's still an ongoing project, but when it's done, it'll be the best Smash game, bar none, surpassing even Melee. Already I like it more than Melee, but it still has room to grow, so I won't say it's better just yet.

I gotta say original 64, just because it was so great for its time. Brawl is pretty good though.
