Thrashcore

[El Brujo]

Anyone here dig bands like SOD, Anthrax, Suicidal Tendencies, Cro-Mag's, Carnivore, Overkill, Sodom, Vio-Lence, Laaz Rockit, Insult To Injury, etc.

Im starting a similar band (but darker and with black metal elements). Ill have a site up sometime but Im not sure when.

Erm...thrashcore?? I dislike genre titles and I'm not really into those bands but hey, go for it.

I'm not sure I'd call Overkill and Anthrax thrashcore...seems a little too extreme for their style.

Well, its generally hard to really classify any band (particularly crossover bands) because there are very few "purist" bands. All generes are a combination of other generes.

I mean, simply look at pioneers of generes such as Led Zeppelin, Ministry, MC5 etc. Their influences are incredibly noticable.

you're definitely right about that crossover thing. I just think of thrashcore as more extreme stuff (like Anal ****, etc.)

Anal **** WAS thrashcore at first (I think). Now, they seem like some weird noisecore-ish thing. Ive never heard their older stuff but apparently its more musical and dosen't have stupid lyrics.
