to be honest i didnt know about that. :( but its good to be reminded..
but today is the day the struggle of the brave red soviet forces paid off. lets remember the 2 million people who died fighting against nazism and fascism, while the allies took the honour for it, while at the same time expanding theire own fascism at the expence of innocent people in the third world thinking nobody would notice because they "saved us".. today is a pretty important day
we should rename it the hipocrites day

The lifting of the American flag on Iwo Jima was staged as well. They had to take down a small flag and put up a bigger one.
Edit: Forgot to mention how fucking badass this picture is! Today we mourn our fallen comrades!

Oh come on, you can't deny that the USSR expanded their own reactionary ideology across the world afterwards, too. I'd rather honour the sacrifice of all those who were persecuted or murdered whilst resisting Nazi aggression and racism, as opposed to feeling a need to praise one of the particular states involved in this conflict.

The action in Romania, Albania, Greece and Yugoslavia spoke otherwise. The causalities on the Eastern Front is horrendous. Thus we can say Soviet Union done hell of the job. This is not to confront that we are praising the state, but the action of the Red Army that need to recognized, not just resistance force.
