No.
Listen to music from the 60s and 70s. Practically everything else is crap.

Here (http://www.thenewmusic.net/) Thenewmusic might have a bunch of "different" stuff, I don't know though. And look who's the host  GEORGE STROUMBOULOPOULOS!! HAHAHA! Georgie! (I may have a minor obsession, I know it's not healthy, but who cares!!)

New music: I'd recommend Glassjaw's new record. i wouldn't discourage you from buying the Killswitch Engage album either. And no new music round-up would be complete without The Datsuns' record.
However, the best album this year so far has to be The Cooper Temple Clause.

Can i tell you something you absolutely must aviod??
a band called "Sloot" they are south african, they are complete copies of Blink 182. They sound unbelieveably stupid, because they are singing with american accents.
They are coming to uk to release an album this week, and i think they are going to try america in a couple of months
AVIOD THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!

Try listening to some drum n bass and breakbeats, there's lots of good music out there. go to www.breakbeat.co.uk for more info...drum n bass is experimental, abstract music and if you're as truly sick of modern music as you say you are, this is something you should try out...
