More anti-BNP activities this weekend (http://www.uaf.org.uk/news.asp?choice=90502)
Last weekend saw a huge mobilisation by Unite Against Fascism supporters against the Nazi BNP. There was UAF activity at over a hundred towns and cities across the country, with some 120,000 flyers being distributed urging people to use their vote against the BNP at the European elections on Thursday 4 June.
There will be further anti-BNP activity this weekend in places such as Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Rochdale, Sheffield and Wolverhampton.
EVENTS THIS WEEKEND
Bristol: UAF march and cavalcade to stop the BNP, Saturday 9 May. Car cavalcade sets off at 10am from Morrisons car park in Fishponds. March through city centre assembles 12 noon at Castle Park, Broadmead.
Birmingham: UAF West Midlands rally against the fascists, Saturday 9 May. Rally starts at 12 noon at Carrs Lane Church Centre, Carrs Lane. Speakers include Clare Short MP. Also leafleting and stall at Idaho LGBT event on 9 May, 3pm to 5pm, Victoria Square, Birmingham. Contact Sadia on 07852 898779.
North West: UAF stalls at Rochdale town centre and Manchester Market Street on Saturday 9 May, 2pm to 4pm. Contact Paul on 07817 688835.
