View Full Version : What do you think about downloading copyrighted material?
I'm not only talking about the big corporations that only want to make more money, but the software developers etc. who sometimes develop software for fun in their free time, when they're not working.

Communists are against property rights in general, and thus obviously also when it comes to software. Opposing patents and copyrights is a very fundamental part of what we stand for.
Don't you think this thread would be better suited in the political forums, either in Learning, or in OI if you want more mixed kinds of replies?

On top of what people pay just to eat and keep a roof over their heads, music is just too expensive to buy. Putting a price tag on it is basically saying that only the wealthy have a right to appreciate culture.
Maybe I will open a new thread in OI, thanks for the responses.

Every time you visit a webpage you are most likely "downloading copyrighted material". I don't see the big deal.
For example, if you read this comment on your computer, you are reading copyrighted material.
I will expand if I see another thread in a more serious forum.
