View Full Version : classless, stateless society
Hello. I'm writing a research paper about Communism, and I can't seem to find where Marx refers to Communism as a "classless, stateless society". Can anyone point me to the correct text? Thanks.

tried "critique of the gotha program"?
that was the one I was looking at most recently. I did a Ctrl + F search of the text on Marxists.org, but I wasn't able to find that quote. :/
Hang on, I'll check again to make sure.
EDIT: Yeah, my browser can't seem to find the term "stateless" anywhere in that text.

Try this:
http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1874/04/bakunin-notes.htm
Try this:

...you don't actually have to find the word "stateless" or "classless." Just read the works. If he says there will be no private property, then it follows that there will be no class. If there is no class, there is no state.
