That boils my blood. Even if you completely disregard the fact they slaughtered a man, the extent of his injuries stands as testament to its viciousness.

Among the chilling details: this happened in a Blue State. It could happen anywhere

They should be put away for life.

"The jurors here [are] sending the message that you can brutally beat a person, without regard to their life, and get away with it, continue with your life uninterrupted, in this case, the message is that a person who may not be popular in society based on their national origin or certain characteristic has less value in our society"

This sums it up. It's unbelievable and shocking that these two murderes got away without any form of punishment. And though I'm absolutely sure that they had an unbelievable hard childhood I agree with what libsoc said. But I guess therefore they have to evade taxes.

You have to remember that the lumpenproletariat is an unsalvageable reactionary guard. About the only useful thing you can do with them is to allow their bodies and sprits be consumed by labor for the state.

They didn't have an unbearably hard childhood. They were middle class highschool football stars. They went out, got drunk, and provoked a man with racial slurs, then beat him to death in the street.

Be consistent.

It seems like anytime people are talking positively about First Worlders, they call them workers, working class, proletariat, etc. Then when the reality pops up, suddenly damn near everyone is 'middle class,' a 'redneck,' etc.

Can we get some consistency??

Also, If I were to call white Americans 'crackers,' I'm willing to bet Id be lynched by the admins and CC. However, when gonzeau does it, no-one even mentions it.

Anyways, whatever.

Woah woah woah, wait they got a not-guily verdict for killing somebody? I'm shocked, this is crazy. You can just look at those teens and tell off the bat they aren't saints and killed this man because he was an immigrant, they also don't have a single scratch on them either. Luis Ramirez was clearly the victim in this case.

If this was the other way around and it was Luis Ramirez who killed one of them, the verdict would've been very different.

Yeah, you caught us. All white first world workers are actually racist pieces of shit who beat people to death in the streets routinely.

No doubt your views on the concept of labor aristocracy are not addressed fairly by some people on this board but derailing threads and complaining in the most unsympathetic manner does not help your cause.

Anyway, on topic: I don't think Rorschach's distinction was insincere or confusing at all. There are stratifications in the United States beyond just working class and ruling class and calling attention to this while not holding a "no working class in USA" analysis is not at all contradictory. Some assumed wrongly that the kids in question were the stereotype of "rednecks" and "white trash" and claimed they were lumpen.

While they may certainly be white and trash this occured in a Blue State and the kids in question were relatively privileged. Pointing this out in my view is quite helpful because this incident points to a far deeper and more insidious racism in our society than the narrative of "a few ignorant hicks".

This is the reason why we need militant anti-fascism, to defend against this sort of shit. I see racist violence around my ends and trust me, the conflict is often inevitable and you have to be ready for it.

I know, this is just what I want to say. I just wanted to take the wind out of the "Punish them? Don't you see that these poor creatures suffer more than their victim and need badly help?!" -people. ;)

It says that it is a struggling mining town. Is there evidence that they are middle class? I am not denying it, but that report didn't say so.

I don't think they necessarilly have to have either had a "terrible childhood" or be "middle class" and "priveliged", it is possible to be working class and have had a tolerable or happy childhood which left you other options than to be a violent racist.

Likewise I don't care how shitty their childhood may have been, or if they are from honest working class families or lumpen families, or middle class - they became racist scum whose ideology and actions are poison to the working class as a whole, and that makes them enemies who deserve no sympathy - save that for their victim. :(

From a Mexican immigrant's point of view:

This is a most reprehensible act of joint bigotry and favoritism. Do those jurors have any idea what kind of precedent they just set? Not that they care, in all likelihood.

Those jocks can rot in a jail cell for all I care, and those jurors can go eat shit and die for their enabling of such behavior.

God, sometimes I hate this fucking country.

This is why we must apply Songun Politics. We must militarize our people, our latino and black brothers and our revolutionary white brothers. Enough is enough. We must organize our people and arm ourselves with weapons, and then go after and annihilate the racist, fascist, reactionary, labor aristocratic individuals that do harm to our people daily.

If you pick up a gun and start shooting at people right now you're not going to solve the problems of racism or capitalism. You're going to get killed. This "Songun thought" sounds like another encouragement for workers to get their brains blown out.

As for this incident, it's fucking terrible and a good example of why we need to organise self defense in these areas; the law clearly isn't making it any harder for these goons to do their gooning.

Jazzratt, that is what I meant to say. We must arm ourselves ideologically and physically and unite under one common cause. We must be willing to stand in oneness with the internationalist proletariat. We must do what the Black Panther Party did, we must harness and radicalize the method of self-defense, thus execute the racist scum that does harm to our brothers and sisters. We are not looking for conflicts, we are solving the conflict by pulling the trigger at the racist scum that pulled the trigger on our people.
