I was cruising wikipedia and noticed this image. The striking part of this painting is that here on the table we have a magician performing tricks whilst Note that the man in the back row is stealing another man's purse.

He is also applying misdirection by looking up at the sky to misdirect the audience from his actions. The artist has even misdirected us from the thief, because we are drawn to the magician. Intellegent Artist.

Was the wikipedia article with the first image something regarding deceit or the like? I'm quite intrigued by it. Great artist.

There's also a painting called The Arnolfini Wedding, much has been said about the guy in that looking like Vladimir Putin, though I think the nun makes a better Putin than him.

Perhaps thats the point of the painting.

Children tend to notice things that adults overlook.
