The Datsuns are one of the best bands I've heard all year. Their performance @ Reading was second only to The Hives, which is saying quite a lot...I was also fortunate enough to meet their not unnattractive singer Dolf D Datsun backstage after their set.

Check out some of their tracks. It's old-skool rock n roll, with a bit of punk mixed in. The self-titled album's just come out in the UK, but I understand they have about five out in New Zealand. Always the way I guess...

yeah I checked out The Datsuns on GR's suggestion and he is right, they are FAB! I downloaded a bunch, but hope to find an album around these parts at some point :)

*Cries* WHY THE FUCK DID YOU REMIND ME GUERILLARADIO!? MY FAMILY HAD A DATSUN 180B (until dad sold it...).
They were the greatest car ever and I would love one...

Hmmm...yeah, cos up North's a breeding ground for such excellent and inspirational music movements such as baggy anoraks and speed-popping.
