Mix CD trade - how about it?

Hello everyone!!! I know I have been well absent as of recent days.....I hope you are all well.

The guy I have been seeing is on another message board and they did this cool thing where a group of them decided to trade mix CDs. If everyone makes a CD and sends the same one out to everyone in the group, then you will get the same amount in return of other peoples.

I think this could be fun and a good way to maybe get some music spread around that some of us might not otherwise be hearing. Let me know if you are interested, and we can swap addresses off the boards.

Yeah the mix deffo doesnt have to be on CD....a tape trade would work just as well.....not everyone has CD burners, I am SO spoiled with mine. I play with it WAY too much ;)

I think that's a good plan. Just send stuff you dig that someone across the Atlantic (or country, if you're both American) wouldn't know.

I can do MD's but I still prefer CD.

My music collection basically consists of mostly punk, some ska, some hip hop and some folk.

The way it usually works is somebody agrees to be the mailer. Everybody makes like 5 or 6 mixes (they can be the same) and sends them to the mailer. The mailer then mails out 5 cds to all the different participants. People usually send 3or4 bucks also to cover the shipping of the cds that they receive. The mailer usually keeps one cd from each batch that he or she receives.

There's like 3 people that I contacted who haven't answered yet. If they don't get back to me by the end of the week I'll just assume they aren't interested.

If nobody else wants to be the mailer, I can do it. I'll send you all an email with an address to send them to.

The basic deal is that you make 5 CDs and you get 5 different ones in return.
You can be cool and make an extra copy for me too. It is also nice to send some $ for S&H on the return. $4-5 should cover the cost for postage and a mailer.

So start picking out your tunes and obviously you can make all your mixes the same because different people will be getting them.

CD is preferred tape is okay.

What am I looking for? I'm looking to be exposed to new music, that's why I'm doing it. I don't know about the rest of us.

Well... not really. You see everyone will be sending me 5 or 6 CDs. I will then be sending out CDs to everybody else. Now if nobody were to send me money for the shipping costs I&#39;d be spending 5 or 6 times more than everybody else and still getting the same number of CDs. If this were just a trade between guerrilla and I, then what you say is true.
