Ah i see what you mean.

I wanted to get some more public enemy in there and some Tribe

I was also gonna include "WHo We Be" by DMX and "One Mic" by Nas but I forgot

what we should do is make an album of the best battles and freestyles

An album of freestyles and battles would be cool. I've only got like 3 though.

Common & KRS on Hot 97
Dilated Peoples, Eminem & Aristotle
Big L

It's very hard to actually find any real freestyle's or battles online. The majority of them are either mixing two songs for a battle or either just live versions of songs.

"Common & KRS on Hot 97" <- this sounds interesting... can you tell me more about it? was it a live show where Com and KRS was freestylin???

BOZG
7th October 2002, 16:49
I'm not sure whether the whole show was them freestyling or whether they were on it for an interview or not. It's only a short one about 3 minutes long. Their rhymin over the beat to "Who Shot Ya" by Biggie

if you want some good freestyles, download some Supernatural. this man is incredible. i saw him in concert about a year and a half ago at long beach, and he amazed me his entire set. One portion of his set, he asked the people to throw things on stage, and whatever he got he would flow about. people threw all kinds of stuff, and he just went from one item to the next without hesitation. it was great. my friend and i just looked at eachother with smiles.

What about Nelly vs. Krs

that is so damn dumb who teh fuck does nelly think he is.

I just wish Black Thought had battled Nas but Black Thought really didn't seem to care

he talked about on OKP he seemed about as interested in it as I'm interested in designer clothes

Black Thought would have killed him

I got respect for both them though

i would say go to the front of the building, see if they are checking IDs, and if they arent, buy some tickets from somebody. when i saw him, the show was supposed to be over 18, and me and my friends were all 16 or 17 (cant remember) but we just got in line with our tickets, and they never checked us. If you look close to the age of 18 it would be better as well. do you?

oh man, that would be a killer show. Grand Master Flash was in the berkeley area not to long ago, and i wanted to see it, but my road trip with friends lasted a few days too short, and we had to go back down south.

AM,

I'd try just getting in line but the tickets are like 30 euro each (about $30) and I'm shit broke and I also owe my dad money for the phone bill. I never get into anything. Flash has played here a few times, Public Enemy, Run-DMC, GangStarr, Schooly D and I've gotten into to none of them. Xzibit is playing next month, some of his stuff is ok and my friend keeps annoying me to go so I might if I've nothing else to do.

As for hip hop in europe, a lot of artists actually think that europeans in general have greater respect for the music than americans in general do.

don't generalize! there are just as many consumers like that in the U.S!!

but i do agree a lot of European consumers of Hiphop music (or at least Swedish ones) don't really know much... either they listen to Em/Snoop/Ice-T/Dre, shit like that... or they on some underground backpack shit (if it's underground that quals good)....which is wack....but oh well....i still think that was a pretty ignorant thing to say

come to think of it lots of Rappers are good actors

Tupac was a great actor

and Ice Cube was good in Boyz in the Hood

So was Cuba Gooding Jr. but then his dumb ass had to go and make snow dogs...good thing he doesn't rap.

Mos Def is one of the best actors I've ever scene

Will SMith..............well tehy can't all be gems
