Okay, so we evidently can't escape this new swine flu "pandemic". As far as I know, it's coming out of Mexico city. Scumfront is already on this topic -- using it as an excuse to rally anti-immigrant sentiment all over the boards. Here's a quote
"Even if this weren't the case why would you question the reasoning behind blaming mexicans for the flu?
The truth matters little, it is the public perception of truth that matters. The pubic is in general cattle-like; If the general stupid public can be made to believe that the mexicans are a health or life threat, then they will stampede congress to pass stricter immigration laws."
Is anyone else scared sh*tless for the south and central american immigrant communities here in the US? I can see it coming -- instead of the flu being the problem, it soon will be the "mexicans".
I'm just bringing it up and I want to see what you guys think. Particularly from our comrades in england, europe or anywhere else besides the US. It would be rad to have an outside perspective.

It's a bit like how they reacted to HIV's outbreak towards the gay community isnt it? Ranting about how it's all gay men's and ironicly women's fault (even when gay women actualy have the lowest HIV risk of any sexualy active adult).
There's one thing you can always gauruntee with facists; they'll always allocate blame for anything in the wrong places. The Mexican workers, who are suffering most from this pandemic, are blaming the factory farming of pigs and after seeing the pictures of how the Mexican bourgeois keep these animals, I'm not suprised.
I love how the title of this thread is a swipe at an entire group of people based on a stereotype like "redneck" and noone blinks. Anyway, first off, the main haven for swine flu has always been the US itself, its just that this version that infected mexico from the states originally has mutated. Although of course it actually comes from the Spanish Flu (which appearantly came from birds), the mexico/spanish link doesn't exist. However I doubt they'll care funnily enough.
In fact, I wager that some show like Hal Turners will churn out scare stories about Mexicans giving hard working white hetrosexual Christian americans swine flu just to steal their job.

And even though globally speaking the most common profile for an AIDS sufferer is a heterosexual african woman.

Not to mention that the Spanish Flu didn't even originate in Spain at all. Up till recently most new mutant flu strains came from southern China simply because it provided a great environment for zoonosis to occur. With the advent of intensive animal factory farming it could happen in alot of places now and it seems as likely as not to happen in North America where unsanitary and overly dense animal farming is the norm.

Swine flu is a good example of why factory farming is disgusting but I digress...
When I watch news reports about swine flu, I can just imagine all the bigoted people around the world blaming Mexicans for it as if they purposefully created it

Even here in Germany I heard people saying thigs like "This is typical. You can't expect anything good from countries like Mexico. Remeber the bird flu - it came from China! I wonder how people in these countries always creat new epedemics." How annoying.
Btw. our farmers demonstrate against the name "Swine flu" because pork meat is buyed much less now. So now the government officially speaks of "New flu".

Indeed, that sort of talk isn't really buffed up. I heard the other day someone talking about how Mexico "has never produced anything good" and that "we should close the border for good" to keep us "save from the flu". Its like okay... It is these sort of arguements that give jingoists and racists an excuse to bash on an ethnicity, this one being Mexican. Personally I think this swine flu is overblown but I worry about it because these immigrant bashers get on air-time when they really shouldn't. I'm worried that there could be a clash in some communities or a resurgence in nativism or in most cases use that to pass their own agendas.
Too often these sort of talking points aren't looked into further by many people (they could also be overtly ignorant) and are accepted has some sort of truth, thus pushing for their legislators to propose these Emergency Quota Acts or other nativist legislation, similar to the ones in the 1920s, and unfortunatly the politicians follow this fake populist will to stay in power.
Btw. our farmers demonstrate against the name "Swine flu" because pork meat is buyed much less now. So now the government officially speaks of "New flu".
Of course, if money is being lost, the government has to react quickly when it comes losing profit. Though the same can not be said to the problems of the working class.
The anti-immigrant rhetoric around swine flu pisses me off. Though it did not surprise me that some would jump to that.
There are also some idiots out there that want to call it "Mexican flu" just to save profits on the pork industry. The pork industry cares about its profits even though there's a deadly virus going around. capitalism....

Apparently the pig farm the pandemic started at was owned by a US company, i.e run by whites. But ethnocentric nationalism is based on logical fallacies, in this case whenever someone of a different race commits a crime and ends up on the News and all the racist knuckle-draggers start yelling 'YOU FORCKIN NEGRAS'.
My father, who isn't racist enough to be a white nationalist but still supports Pauline Hanson, once said this kind of thing. He got a good earload from me for that.
Stormfront are just stupid.
