Its been not to long after the outbreak of the new strain of H1N1 or Flu, and if some have you have noticed its kinda spreading at a slower pace than SARS.

I was wondering what would be the most effective way to manufacture a decent surgical face mask using breathable, durable, easy to clean, and effective in filtering material.
CDC says that face mask are a good idea when in crowded areas.

So if any one knows how to make a mask and with what, please do tell!!

I don't think it's wise to make a mask....you have to get a respirator, I think they are called N95 respirators. Just having a mask over your face doesn't help much.

A dust filter mask might catch the bugs in the layers without getting in your way too much. You'd have to replace it frequently though. tbh, something like an NBC resperator wouldnt help much more than one of those unless it was something that wasnt airbourned transmitted.

Don't worry mate, when this plague hits your town, you'll die anyway, face mask or not, so just chill.

I suppose this does raise an intresting question. Would laws about the provision of safety equipment at work include providing face masks for those who work with the public in the event of an airbourne pandemic? The reason I ask is because I'm just thinking to myself how hard employers would fight to make sure thier shop workers dont have thier faces covered, despite the obvious risk to thier health. It's not all in factories that the bourgeois try to pull a fast one.

I just got some nice resperators from home-depot. They also have other respiratory uses as well so their a good option. (and kinda comfy too!)
