IMO the Cuban Revolution at this point seems moribund, at best. Is it naive of me to think that the reason is b/c people just don't like working under state tutelage? Just as under corporate culture most people feel they have no stake in the economy (I know I don't), Cubans feel they have no stake in the government? What am I missing?

I haven't been there since Prince Raoul took over as regent, but every time I've been there the Cuban people seemed honor bound to evade, ignore or deceive the state everytime the opportunity came up.
The Black Market is and has been for years the most thriving part of the Cuban economy.

What is the subject of discussion here? The OP is basically just 'The cuban revolution is dead because X'. What do you hope to be discussed and could you make this more apparent in the OP please?
