I think it's a good idea to make a database of subjects which have been extensively discussed here for members who want to look them over or participate in them. They can learn a lot from it on a particular subject and it would be a great way for them to see the arguments presented on different sides of an issue.
You can submit threads here in this thread by posting a link to it and the subject it's about. The Great Debate (http://www.revleft.com/vb/great-debates-t107573/index.html) threads will hopefully be good and active enough to deserve a regular place here (I expect them to make up the bulk of this database in due time).
Here are some guidelines for submitting threads:
1. The thread should be at least 3 pages long.
2. Try to avoid older threads, because if members post in them they'll probably be closed for necromancy. But if it's a real good thread feel free to submit it. I have one in mind myself which is, in my opinion, one of the best discussions ever held on this forum.
So if you know any good discussions that were held here, one you yourself participated in or one you found very informative, feel free to submit them! :)
